SUA Comments on Proposed Section 301 Tariffs on Brazil

The Sweetener Users Association submitted the following comments to the U.S. Trade Representative on July 1, 2026, making the case to exempt raw and refined sugar from the proposed Section 301 tariffs on Brazil, noting that increases in high-tier imports aren’t driven by unfair trade policies, but by insufficient tariff-rate quota access.
