All suspension agreements are potentially subject to a sunset review every five years, if the “interested parties” request an administrative review.

Since the current sugar suspension agreements with Mexico were implemented in December 2014, they normally would have been up for review in December 2019.

However, the partial government shutdown nearly a year ago led to the attached memo from the Commerce Department, which changed the due date for requests for review of the sugar suspension agreements to February 28, 2020. See below memo for details.
