Below is a link to a Foreign Agricultural Service report listing the total tariff that certain U.S. agricultural product exports to China will face beginning June 1.

Examples of new Chinese tariffs effective June 1:

  • Chewing gum – the total tariff is increased from the current tariff of 12% to a new 32% tariff
  • Sugar confectionery not containing cocoa – tariff is increased from 10% to 30%
  • Sweet biscuits – tariff is increased from 15% to 40%
  • Waffles & wafers – tariff is increased from 15% to 40%
  • Jams & marmalades & jellies/purees/pastes of fruits – tariff is increased from 30% to 50%
