Below is a Federal Register notice requesting comments on a proposed list of products from China that could be subject to an additional duty of up to 25%.

This notice is formally scheduled for publication later this week.

The process of public notice and comment is in response to the President ordering USTR “to begin the process of raising tariffs on essentially all remaining imports from China, which are valued at approximately $300 billion.”

Raw beet and cane sugar are on the list as well as a long list of sugar-containing products.

Written comments to USTR are due on June 17.
