Federal Crop Insurance Corporation Revises Sugar Beet Crop Insurance

The Federal Crop Insurance Corporation will accept comments on the below final rule on sugar beet crop insurance provisions until January 28.

As noted in the Dec 2 issue of The Hagstrom Report, USDA’s Risk Management Agency officials said changes to the crop insurance policies for sugar beets will “better protect sugar producers who may experience a bumper crop in future years as well as provide other flexibilities.”
